What is life about? If you knew you only had one day to live ...How would you spend it? What would be important?

Life is about choices but sometime it's not our choice to make.

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of "attitude" on life. Attitude , to me, is more imprtant than facts, education, past, money, circumstances, than what other perople think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, gifted or skill. People feelings are the most important part of life.

We can not change our past....We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We can not change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude....Life throws you lemons make lemonade...With the right attitude life is better...Life is not about money, material things it's about "feelings".

In this era of high cost, many couple are intimidated by the idea of a big wedding.

haha we have a funny god, ask your mother what size she was when she got married. I was a size 0 and look at me now.

Today, I had a mother of one of my past brides, bring in her dress for me to redo for her 25th wedding anniversary, she wanted to surprise her husband. She had it preserved and had never opened the gold box. Spent 100's dollars 24 years ago. I had her open the box and it was like all the other dresses I have opened. Runt, it had turned yellow, beads were dis-colored. She didn't want any one to see the dress, very up set. It was a size 4 and she was now a size 24, she couldn't even get it over her head. What can you do???I told her I could make it fit She said no I don't want any one to see this, why did it discolor? I don't know why but all the dresses that has been preserve in a gold box, that I have opened has been this way. There is no way to get out the discolor, anyway I haven't found it. So If you buy your dress don't have it preserved. I found cleaning them and putting them out of light is the best but better yet, save the money and rent.

Rent and you will save money and heartache.

Why do I want to buy my wedding gown?

*Save it for your daughter? come on you had your dream dress let her have hers. 20 years from now that beautiful dress will be yellow and out dated. I started my business back in 1986, come look at my walls I have pictures of those brides. You would not want to wear any of those dresses. Big sleeves, shoulder pads, and the bigger bow the better. That was what was in , 20 years from now, style will be different.

Are you Big in the chest and small in the waist? Tuxedo' s are not made for this style body. We take it in at the waist, so show off your waist and you won't look like you are wearing a box.

ASK the other shops, they tell you they can not alter the tuxedo because they are rental. Linda sews and our tuxedo suppliers lets her alter them. She good and only takes her minutes.

I am start a question and answer blog about weddings. I started Tomorrow's Memories in 1986 and wrote a wedding advise column for the Andover Paper for a 2 years. I have done a lot of weddings over the years. Give me your questions and I will give you my take on the answers.

Why? are you getting married? Because you are in love. The feeling you get when that person is near you and how you feel when they are not.

Always remember the "Why" you want to get married. Don't ever lose sight of it. Weddings are very high in the feelings and sometimes get out of control.

Attitude, will make your wedding or spoil it.

We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We can not change the past. We can not change the inevitable. the only thing we can do is play on the one thing and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens and 90% how we react to it. It can make or ruin your wedding. Remember the "why"

It' s that time of year, We partied celebrated the holidays and now we have all this extra weight. How do we take it off. Have you heard of Body by Vi?

Eight months ago I had a father of one of my grooms come in to get remeasured for his tux as he had lost a lot of weight and inches. He talked to me a little about Body by Vi, but I had been talked about it through other people but I wasn't interested. If each of you have been married before, your children may have a bounty of step-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Marrying again is a new beginning, for you, a new opportunity to create a life with someone that you love. With the benefit of previous experience and your determination to make this marriage work, you have a strong chance to developing a good and lasting relationship.

But don't forget the kids. They need to be told first.about the news of the marriage This should to come from you, you don't want them to hear about it from some one else.The idea is convey an atmosphere of joy and celebration., Children from a former marriage must be carefully deal with. You should tell the children yourself; Try to choose a time when they are happy and well rest. Tell them of the happiness you hope the new marriage will bring all of you. and give them an opportunity to express and discuss their feelings. Let them participate in preparation for the wedding ceremony and in the ceremony itself. They might be candlelighter, flower girls, junior bridesmaids, junior groomsmen, etc. Their sense of belonging will ease the situation, and you will be helping them to feel important at a time when they may feel their position in the family to be threatened.

If you are having a professional help you plan your wedding, be sure that person cares about you and your wedding, be sure to tell them that this is your second marriage and that kids are involved. They can help include the children and make them feel special. It does make a difference. Remember, you are laying the foundation for yourfuture.

Recently, I worked with a bride and groom who were dealing with this situation. He had been married before, and had a daughter from the former marriage. They weren't going to tel his daughter about the marriage until after they were married. As it turned out, she was happy about their marriage, but she was very hurt at not knowing of the marriage until she was told of it by someone else. "Can you believe it?" she asked me. "I was the last to know , and I'm not even in the wedding?

Many children secretly hope that their parents will get back together after a divorce. Because a new marriage ends this dream, they sometimes consider the new spouse an intruder.

In addition, the children have already been hurt by the death of a parent or by a divorce. A step parent not only represents a new person who may hurt them, but a person who steals their parent's time and attention .Brides and grooms, encourage your children to talk about their feelings and frustrations. As parents, you need to use extra patience, understanding, compassion and empathy with your children during this time.

Last week, I worked with another bride and groom. They had three daughters from former marriages, and all of them were excited about the wedding. Each had her own special job each felt that the wedding couldn't go off without them.

Hats off to those parents.

Remember, when you have been married before, there are grandparents from the first marriage. These grandparents are still grandparents. Don't forget them; they are special people. Their grandchildren are special to them. Don't keep them apart. Grandparents get hurt in a divorce too.

Remember, you are laying the foundation for your future. You want this marriage to work and this means understanding and love, jealous is not allowed.
